Pretty aromas are comprised by acacia blossom, citrus peel, white peach and background hint of jasmine tea. The sleek, beautifully intense and well-detailed middle weight flavors terminate in a saline, citrusy and moderately dry finale that is sneaky long. This is a lovely Puligny villages that is both well-balanced while delivering focused power. Drink:2024+ - BH89~91
Scents of citrus oil, nashi pear, white flowers, warm bread and subtle hints of anise introduce Ente's 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Village, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered wine that's bright and lively, with an elegantly textural attack, fine depth at the core and a long, mineral finish. There's more tension here than in the corresponding Chassagne-Montrachet, and I suspect the rewards of bottle age will be greater. Drink:2022~2045 - WA91
THE BENOIT ENTE ESTATE
Composed of about twenty plots, the farm has approximately 6 ha. It is mainly established in the town of Puligny Montrachet where a plot of Chassagne Montrachet is added. The vines are mainly in the field of my grandparents: The Chardonnay produced all our white wines, with the exception of the appellation Bourgogne Aligoté and Pinot Noir , Burgundy red. Planting density ranges from 10 to 11,000 feet per hectare. The sizes used are Guyot simple, Guyot Poussard and cordon de Royat. - Information from Domain Benoit Ente Website
