Ente explained that the name Nexe Flore is a play on words to suggest Next Floor, meaning a step up in quality. The reason is because there was an error as a holding tank of Puligny villages was accidentally blended with one of Truffière in a proportion of 57% of the former and 43% of the latter! The mistake was not inconsiderable as almost 4000 bottles were produced. Firm reduction renders the nose unreadable today. More positively, there is excellent volume to the round, delicious and again attractively textured medium weight flavors that secrete a subtle minerality on the sappy and impressively long finish. As the name would suggest, this is definitely a 'stepped up' Puligny villages. Drink: 2022+ - BH89~92
THE BENOIT ENTE ESTATE
Composed of about twenty plots, the farm has approximately 6 ha. It is mainly established in the town of Puligny Montrachet where a plot of Chassagne Montrachet is added. The vines are mainly in the field of my grandparents: The Chardonnay produced all our white wines, with the exception of the appellation Bourgogne Aligoté and Pinot Noir , Burgundy red. Planting density ranges from 10 to 11,000 feet per hectare. The sizes used are Guyot simple, Guyot Poussard and cordon de Royat. - Information from Domain Benoit Ente Website
