Once again there is enough oak present to remark upon though not so much as to mask the softly exotic aromas of petrol, white peach and oyster shell and tidal pool nuances. The big, indeed even bold flavors are at once succulent yet powerful while exhibiting excellent richness and mid-palate concentration on the saline-inflected finish. Drink:2025+ - BH89-92
Magisterial and Mature. Pale gold in colour, a limpid and brilliant wine. On first opening we find white fruits with a hint of vanilla and delicate mineral notes. Becomes more mineral on aeration. Long-lasting. Full, rounded and lively in the mouth with a palette of white fruits. Fruity finish. Worth waiting to get the best from this Chablis 1er Cru. - Winemaker's Notes
La Chablisiènne is actually a collection of growers under the form of a cooperative that was founded in 1923. It is an enormous operation, indeed so large that they now reportedly vinify and market between 25 and 33% of all the wine made in Chablis; a remarkable volume that is now approaching one million cases according to the director of marketing Hervé Tucki.
