A well-cut Champagne, with a minerally underpinning and a pleasing tension to finely knit flavors of white cherry and Anjou pear, grated ginger and sliced almond. Plush and creamy on the lingering finish. Disgorged April 2020. Drink now through 2023. - WS92
Champagne Agrapart is a Champagne house in Avize. It was founded by Arthur Agrapart at the end of the 19th Century, and extended by his grandson Pierre in the 1950s and 1960s. It is a récoltant-manipulant (RM) house, meaning it grows its own grapes – mostly Chardonnay – on 12 hectares (20 acres) of chalky soils in the Côte des Blancs.
The Agrapart vineyards are plowed and treated with homemade composts. In the winery, grapes are fermented with wild yeasts and the base wines undergo a long aging on lees in oak barrels before the second fermentation adds the sparkle. (© Copyright material, Wine-Searcher.com)
The house is particularly associated with Chardonnay-based Champagne – of the six cuvées produced, four are Blanc de Blancs. - Information from Wine Searcher
