This deep-colored wine lets the nose escape scents of blackberry, currant and melted notes of toasted woods. The mouth is full-bodied and dense thanks to the majority proportion of Merlot present in this blend atypical for this region. Throughout the tasting we find the opulence, richness, flavors and fragrances of these Merlots with great maturity. It is a full and tasty wine. - Winemaker's Notes

COUFRAN has become over time a must.
“MEDOC POMEROL”
In 1924 Château Coufran was a very Cabernet Sauvignon wine, almost unsaleable during the great crises. Louis Miailhe then decided to replant everything in Merlot.
