Château de Seguin is a French estate based in the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux. The château at the heart of the estate was constructed in 1780. Today, Château de Seguin specializes in the production of Bordeaux Supérieur wines.
The estate is planted to a total of 95 hectares (235 acres) of cultivated vineyard. These vines sit atop soils comprised largely of sand and clay interspersed with rocks. The vast majority of these vineyards are dedicated to the classic red Bordeaux grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, with a small quantity of Petit Verdot. The remaining 4ha (10 acres) are set aside for the cultivation of the château's white Bordeaux grape varieties: Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris.
Château de Seguin's wine portfolio is almost entirely dominated by its range of Bordeaux Supérieur red wines. The exception is the Sauvignon De Seguin. Previous offerings from the portfolio have included Bordeaux Supérieur white wines and Crémant de Bordeaux wines. - Information from Wine Searcher
