Structured and powerful with chewy and firm tannins with a light vanilla and currant undertone. Full bodied. Juicy and savory. Luscious and intense yet polished. Tension, energy and wonderful length and brightness. Drinkable but needs another three to four years to come around.- JS98
Enticing, with the frankly ripe profile of the vintage showing off in a display of slightly exotic plum and blackberry coulis flavors, while dark licorice, menthol and sassafras notes course through. Sweet spice accents sparkle through the finish, revealing a lingering hint of singed juniper. The long finish features rippling acidity. - WS95
The Palate of the 2015 is breathtaking and confirms why this is one of the top three sites in the world for the Cabernet Sauvignon grape. No words seem to do justice to the layers of density, freshness, and the purity that can be found in the glass. The 2015 somehow achieves the wild, untamed, yet polished nature that very few vintages have been able to reach. - Winemaker's Notes
Heitz Wine Cellars has played a significant role in the history of Napa Valley winemaking since 1961. Founders, Joe and Alice Heitz, produced their first bottle of wine with a commitment to excellence that now spans three generations. Thoday, sibling team, Kathleen Heitz Myers and David Heitz, lead the family business as president and winemaker, producing wines that are recognized worldwide for their purity, balance and proven age-ability. Heitz Cellars is internationally acclaimed for the consistent brilliance of its vineyard-designated Cabernets. When Heitz Martha's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon was introduced in 1966, it was the first Napa Cabernet with the vineyard-designation on the label.
