Firm and focused, this red offers plum and blackberry fruit, with strong flavors of loamy earth, leather and espresso. The solid tannins are balanced by fresh acidity, giving way to a savory finish. Drink now through 2023. - WS89
The 2011 Reserva is always 100% Tempranillo only produced in ripe vintages; it was not produced in 2007, 2008 or 2013. 2011 was certainly ripe and it shows aromas of macerated plums, camphor and sweet spices. The palate is medium to full-bodied with abundant, slightly harsh tannins that need some bottle age to calm down, as right now the finish is too dry and astringent. Will it come into balance with time? 55,000 bottles. - WA89
The first vine stock was planted in 1999. The Legaris vineyard grows the varieties of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery is committed to high quality raw materials and viticulture: uniformity among vines, healthy plants, limited plant growth, small clusters and berries, concentration of colour and aromatic precursors.
The winery´s viticultural team carries out strict biological controls to ensure plants and selected rootstock are virus-free. To complement the winery´s own grapes, it also chooses grapes and plots from local suppliers.
