The red wines harvested in the center and the south side of the territory of Beaune are tannic and powerful; their color is generally dark, and their aromas are both animal and fruity (berry). Those harvested in the north are of a less intense color and have a beautiful flexibility. The white wines are supple, fat, with good acidity which gives them depth. Their size places them at a high level, close to Chassagne-Montrachet. - Winemaker's Notes
